ADMISSION (CONDITIONS & RULES)

  • Candidates with diploma degree after 3+2, i.e. 6+0 (for biomedical studies) according to Bologna Process, in one of the following areas: medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, biology, biophysics, psychology, and rehabilitation-education.
  • Students who graduated before the year 2005, diploma degree in above mentioned areas.
  • Average grade at least 3,51 (on the scale 1 to 5).
  • Admissions from other PhD programs: 50% required ECTS points in the first year (related PhD programs in above mentioned areas).
  • PhD students from programs which do not have neuroscience courses will have to pass an admission exam; the content of the exam will be prescribed by Expert Committee („Stručno vijeće“).

CRITERIA & PROCEDURES

  • Admission criteria (in addition to average grade) are: basic communication skills (English), basic computer & informatics skills, previous participation in scientific research, and 2 letters of recommendation (written by professors-supervisors).
  • Before the admission, the student has to have an arranged research project with his future supervisor.
  • PhD thesis research is possible only in already available laboratories and with already appointed supervisors; the student will have advance information on laboratories and supervisors, and thus the ability to make necessary arrangements.
